Dear Hillcrest Families,
Happy March! The first week of March has been filled with lots of opportunities to celebrate Read Across America! We understand that families may have questions and concerns regarding the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) and how it may affect our schools. Although at this point in time, the CDC has reported that the general public is at low risk, here are general precautions we can all take to help stay healthy. The precautions to help prevent colds and the flu can help protect against COVID-19. Custodial staff are working hard and sanitizing buildings daily.
Please remind your child that these steps will also help at home:

● If you’re in the car drop off line, please pull as far up as possible, this allows many students to exit at a time, which makes the line move faster.
● Our school read a book this month called Each Kindness, by Jacqueline Woodson. Ask your child about small acts of kindness and the amazing impact they can have on everyone.

Dear Hillcrest Families,
We always talk about February being the shortest month, but this year, we have a bonus day -- February 29th! I hope you have a chance to enjoy this extra day by spending some fun family time together! We really enjoyed gathering together this morning at our February All School Meeting where our students shared their learning with the whole school community. Dear District Families,
As, many of you are aware, there is a heightened focus on the “Coronavirus” (or COVID-19) at this time. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health is communicating with school districts on this matter and it has recommended that the following information be shared with the public. The district is monitoring this situation and will provide you with additional information as needed.
