Principal Newsletter for January 16, 2020   Monday, January 20, there is no school in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  School will reopen on Tuesday, January 21st. We have our Winter Band/Art Show on Wednesday, January 22 starting at 7:00 pm in the auditorium and hallways. Students are only allowed to play in the snow if they have both boots and snow pants on.  This is to ensure they stay dry. There is no throwing of snow, for the safety of others. Superintendent Screening Committee The Gill-Montague Regional School Committee is seeking members for a screening committee to assist in the search for a new superintendent. This committee will be responsible for reviewing applications, interviewing semi-finalists, and determining finalist candidates to be interviewed by the School Committee. These past few days have been especially chilly!  This time of year, the weather often pushes us to be more creative in our approaches to recess.  On Tuesday and Wednesday, the incredibly slippery combination of residual ice and fresh snow on the kindergarten and first grade playgrounds meant that we had to seek out an alternative location for recess.
