  • June 14th- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

Dear Gill Families, Caregivers, and Staff,

I’d like to extend a big THANK YOU to all of the families and students who came on Sunday, May 2 to help clean up the school garden, move and spread mulch, rake leaves, and pick up sticks. I’d also like to extend my appreciation to the PTO for providing water, coffee, and donuts. The kids really enjoyed them. The mulch pile provided a big source of fun, and that was donated by the Snow family. A number of other families donated plants for the outside garden as well, which are growing quite nicely!

Sixth grade students had a great time last week participating in the Nature’s Classroom program, despite the first day in which it rained all day. Fortunately, we were able to bring the program onsite this year.

Vernal Pool Day was this past Tuesday, and it was a picture perfect day! Each grade level was joined by our two visiting biologist, Colleen Sculley and her assistant. After students collected their specimens, they gathered around to learn more about the creatures living in the pool. It was great fun and such a wonderful learning opportunity.

Enjoy the weekend!

Sincerely,

Lisa Desjarlais, Principal
