As always, it has been a joy to be part of such a caring, supportive and truly wonderful community. As I reflect on this year, it seems to have flashed by in the blink of an eye, but the memories are here to stay. Things that jump out: Pumpkin Man surprising our new students (and staff). The bon fire and scarecrow brigade. The Great Flood of 2019.  The sounds of joy coming from recess. Watching our Kindergarten students collect blankets for shelters on MLK Day and hearing about their nature trail adventures. 1st grade designing adaptive desert animals. 2nd grade students so excited to show me their work that I couldn’t possibly walk by without getting pulled in. 3rd grade reporters “coming to you live from Gill Elementary” and documenting our the Great Flood. 4th grade designers building Rube Goldberg projects and designing their own houses using math and their knowledge of area. 5th grade raps about the rock cycle and muddy trips through the woods. 6th grade climbers and fierce D.I. competitors.

None of this exciting work would have been done without the tremendous labor of love put in daily by our incredible teaching staff. Their hard work and the genuine love they have both for our kids and for teaching is on display here daily. For such a wonderful year we have them to thank.

As we wrap up the year and begin to think about next year, it is normal to feel a bit of loss- our kids are getting older and moving on. But equally as powerful is the feeling of excitement of what is to come. We look forward to another amazing year starting in the fall!

Thank you,
