Dear Gill Families, Caregivers, and Staff,

Elementary School is committed to ensuring that all students achieve proficiency in Literacy. In an effort to meet the needs of students through differentiated instruction, we have built in designated intervention blocks for students who would benefit from targeted instruction in a small group setting. Literacy benchmark assessment data is used to determine eligibility for the program. Intervention services are provided by certified teachers and/or trained para-professinals. To maximize student learning, “best practices” and evidenced-based intervention materials are utilized. For the most part, interventions are delivered in the classroom, however for grouping, students may be going to another space in the building.

Here are some updates and reminders to be aware of:

  • Colder weather has arrived! Please ensure your child has warm clothing for outdoor play. The back field can get very chilly with the wind.
  • Important Safety Alert: Car Line-Unless an adult is waving you on to pass, please do not pass cars that are loading/unloading students. We do our best to keep the line moving and your patience is very much appreciated.
  • Families are welcome to join in on the virtual All-School Meet. A link is provided above.
  • Wednesday is Flannel Day- If your child has piece of flannel they can wear to participate, that would be great!

Sincerely,

Lisa Desjarlais,

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE ARE HAVING SUPPLY ISSUES. WE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH THE MENU FOR THE LATTER PART OF THE MONTH ONCE WE’VE CONFIRMED ORDERS.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!
