Dear Gill Community,

Next week is spring break! Here are some updates:

  • Mr. Wood is going to be out for the remainder of the year. John Waters, an experienced and veteran PE teacher will be here on Thursdays to cover Mr. Wood’s classes. Teachers will be working with Mr. Waters to help him get to know the students.
  • Volunteers needed for clean up the school garden day! I am looking for volunteers and contributions of plants/flowers for the front school gardens. Wednesday, April 20th is clean-up day, and for planting any plants in the gardens that will do well now.
  • We are working on behavior expectations at dismissal for students to keep things safe and orderly. We expect that students are in control of their bodies (no tag, chasing, etc.), and are prepared and ready to go to their pick up destination. Please feel free to remind your student!
  • We are accepting applications for kindergarten for the upcoming school year. If you have a child to enroll, please contact the school main office to begin the registration process. If you are aware of any children who will be five before September 1st, please let them know it’s time to register.
  • Students should try to keep track of any miles for the Gill 100-mile club! They can keep track at home or come up on the break. Many are close to getting their 25 miles’ t-shirt!

I hope you all have a great week next week!
