What I Wish I Knew in Grade 6…
All Students are a little nervous- that’s perfectly okay!!! It is a new school, in a new building with new teachers, relax as you are all in it together
Lockers can be tricky, but they will get easier to use and people are always willing to help
Familiarize yourself with how grading works, as it is different from elementary school. Each teacher will explain it to you so do not stress
Understand how the schedule functions, particularly the Day 1/Day 2 rotation and the academic rotation. This will be clearly explained and marked in classrooms- if you have a question- just ask!!
Learn how to log into Plus Portals and how to send an email to your teachers. Many times, this is the best way to get a clear answer

Every Monday and Friday you will have a Morning Meeting in the Theater- its a time for the entire school to come together to learn what is going on and celebrate many of the great things happening in school

- You are now the “Top Dogs” of the Middle School
- Be leaders in class, the halls and anywhere in the building
- Start to think about your future plans
- Turners Falls High School
- Franklin County Technical School
- Private or Charter School
- Be active with your grades- this can matter when deciding on what school you want to attend next year
