Sheffield Elementary School Closure Resources

Dear Sheffield Families,

We all miss you!  This is a surreal time, and take comfort in knowing our staff are committed to staying in contact with you during this difficult and stressful time.  Since face to face contact is not permitted at this time, we are looking into other ways of staying connected with you.  Our district website is a resource to frequently check as information is updated regularly and things change so quickly.  Our staff have been busy compiling resources to support learning at home and in the interest of ease of use, this page will operate as a warehouse for those links and resources.

We are in unprecedented times, and as such, we ask for your patience as we navigate tools that many are learning as they go.  One of the ways we're looking to connect with our students in the near future is through Google classroom and Google Meet.  These are platforms that some staff and students are very familiar, and others are not.  We are adapting and asking our teachers and learning community to adapt with us.

This closure is also an opportunity to enjoy other interests like; cooking, gardening, drawing, photography, honing some sport skills, bicycling and walking/hiking just to name a few.  Some of these provide cross curricular opportunities where others simply contribute to one's emotional well-being.

Together, we will continue to support our students and families the best way we can. As always, please contact your child’s teacher or me if you have questions or concerns.

Stay well until we see you again,

           Melissa Pitrat, Principal
