  • Third grade will complete Math MCAS tomorrow morning and then all students in grades 3-5 will have completed ELA and Math.  5th grade has Science MCAS next Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • There is an All School Meeting on May 17 in our auditorium starting at 2:15.  Families are welcome to attend.

  • Our facilities manager, Heath Cummings, is asking that I share two employment opportunities with you. We have one position to be an on-call custodian to cover vacations or sick days in the evenings.  The other is a part time grounds assistant for 3 hours per day April-November.   • Congratulations to the Whitney family!  Their ticket was drawn from all the surveys that were returned.  Enjoy eating at the Black Cow restaurant!

  • Second grade student ambassadors visited Hillcrest yesterday to answer questions first graders had about being at Sheffield next year!  Check our website for a picture of our 8 ambassadors!

  • Friends of Sheffield (FOS) have sent out a volunteer form if any parents are interested in helping out at Field Day.  Please understand that only parents who have signed a volunteer form and have a current CORI will be allowed on the grounds.  This is for the safety of all students.

  • Second grade will be going to the Lupa Zoo on Monday, May 20.

  • Mrs. Eichorn’s fourth grade class will be going to the Discovery Center on May 22.

  • Save the date!  Our All School Memorial Day Sing is Thursday, May 23 from 9:00-9:45.
