Principal Newsletter November 29, 2018

  • Snow on the ground changes what students have access to on the playground.  Students are allowed to play in the snow if they have: snow pants  and snow boots.  If they do not have both, they are required to stay on the blacktop to ensure they stay dry.

  • Please consider donating snow pants and boots your child has outgrown to the school so that students can borrow them to play in the snow.  Our school nurse, Ms. Joni Sexauer, is willing to house extra snow pants and boots that students may borrow if they forget or don’t have them at home.  If your child does borrow something, please return it so it can be used again by other students who enjoy playing in the snow.

  • Keeping with the weather theme, we will send students outside for morning and lunch recess if the air and wind temperature combined are 20 degrees or higher.  Please make sure your child comes dressed for the weather.

  • Kindly the school district requests that you take a brief two-minute survey from our Parent/Guardian Advisory Council in relation to parental support. To complete the survey please visit the home page of our district website at http://gmrsd.org/.  The survey is one of five items on the news banner that appears at the top of the page.  While you are on our website, please check out news and resource information from our respective schools and departments!  Survey responses are anonymous. Information obtained will inform school administration and staff on parental/guardian support interests in the district. Thank you in advance for your participation.
