Dear Hillcrest Families,
As you well know, it was a very warm week here at Hillcrest! We all persevered with lots of mask breaks, plenty of water and some popsicles for added relief. Perhaps the most exciting news of the week is that our Facilities Department was able to install window Air Conditioning units in all of our classrooms! These have made a significant impact as far as cooling things down and making the hot days a bit more manageable for staff and students alike. ...

It has been a whirlwind of activities, celebrations, and end of year events over the past couple of weeks.
Last Friday, Turners Falls High School Graduates came to visit in their full graduation garb while Gill staff and students cheered them on.

June has arrived and we’ll soon be experiencing our first heat wave of the summer! You may already know that Hillcrest Elementary School does not have air conditioning and it can become very steamy in our classrooms on those hot days! Please be sure that your children are dressed appropriately in lightweight clothing and that they bring their water bottles to school daily.
