Hillcrest Elementary School Newsletter October 2019 Dear Hillcrest Families, Happy October to all of you!  It was such a pleasure to see so many Hillcrest families at our Open House on October 11th and again today at our October All School Meeting. Principal’s newsletter for October 24, 2019 Our first All School Meeting is tomorrow from 2:15-2:45 in our auditorium.  Families are welcome to attend. Picture retake day will be Wednesday, October 30.   Thursday, October 31 staff and students are permitted to wear a hat to school.  This is only if you want to, not a have to. No face paint please. A reminder for our kindergarten and 5th grade families- your Open House will be on Tuesday. 10/29/19 from 5:00-6:00 PM. A reminder that we are seeking School Council members. Hillcrest Elementary School Friday News October 18, 2019   Dear Hillcrest Families,   At Open House last week, I briefly mentioned our School Improvement Plan.  Every public school in Massachusetts is required to have a School Improvement Plan and this year the Hillcrest plan focuses on five goal areas:  Mathematics Teaching & Learning, Literacy Teaching & Learning, Teaching for Diversity, Social-Emotional Learning, and Community Engagement.
