With the measles outbreak being on the news and confirmed in Massachusetts, we wanted to give you all some information regarding the virus and its prevention. According to the CDC, as of April 4, 2019 there have been 465 cases of infected persons in 19 states in the US. Outbreaks are cases of 3 or more confirmed in a state, and Massachusetts is not one of them at this time. I am pleased to announce that Joanne Menard will become Gill-Montague’s secondary level principal effective July 1, 2019. Ms. Menard has accepted the position pending successful contract negotiations which should be complete later this week. Ms. Menard has been the principal of Petersham Center School for the past four years. Prior to that she was an instructional coach in Medway, and a middle school science teacher in Spencer-East Brookfield, in addition to holding other teaching and private sector positions. All School Meeting Rescheduled! We are not having our All School Meeting tomorrow as indicated
on website and earlier messaging. We will have our April All School Meeting on Friday, April 26 in
our auditorium from 2:15-2:45 pm.

Gill-Montague Regional School District is creating an equity steering committee! This will be a diverse group of 10-15 people - including students, staff, parents, administrators, and other members of our school community - who will work together to transform school culture and climate at Great Falls Middle School and Turners Falls High School.
