BUDGET
SUBCOMMITTEE
- The committee will prepare and submit the financial budget with
appropriate funds for recommended positions and programs to the
full School Committee. (Three [3] members and 1 alternate)

LEGISLATIVE
LIAISON
- Communicate to legislators our views and take necessary actions
in the form of phone calls, letters, etc. (1 member to report
to Committee)

MONTAGUE
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE LIAISON BUILDINGS/FACILITIES SUBCOMMITTEE
- This committee is charged with the responsibility of reviewing
the maintenance needs of the facilities, the overall upkeep, and
the user fees of the facility and grounds of the Gill-Montague
Regional School District. A member of the committee will serve
as the liaison to the Montague Capital Improvements Committee.

PERSONNEL/NEGOTIATIONS
SUBCOMMITTEE
- To meet with the various representatives of the employees' groups
within the district to conduct negotiations, discuss areas of
mutual concern and present recommendations regarding same to the
full School Committee. (3 members and 1 alternate)

SUBCOMMITTEE
- This committee is charged with the responsibility of reviewing
current and future policies and making recommendations to the
full School Committee. (3 members and 2 alternates)

WARRANT
SUBCOMMITTEE
- Requires no less than three [3] members for the purpose of signing
payroll warrants and accounts payable warrants to allow for the
release of checks. The subcommittee shall make available to the
full School Committee at the next meeting, a record of such actions.

JOINT
MANAGEMENT LABOR TEAM (JMLT) (3 members)

Consisting
of six members, three appointed by the school committee and three
appointed by the Association, shall begin to meet no later than
September 15, 2005 to develop a proposal for a Mentoring/New Teacher
Induction program and to determine an appropriate stipend for
mentors.

POLICY:
BDE SUBCOMMITTEES OF THE SCHOOL COMMITTEE
The Gill-Montague Regional School Committee will have no standing
committees. It may, however, establish special subcommittees at
its annual organizational meeting. These subcommittees may be
created for a specific purpose and to make recommendations for
Committee action. 1. The subcommittee will be established through
action of the Committee. 2. The subcommittee chairperson and its
members will be appointed by the Committee chairperson, subject
to approval by the Committee. 3. The subcommittee will be provided
with a list of its functions and duties. 4. The subcommittee may
make recommendations for Committee action, but it may not act
for the School Committee. 5. The Committee chairperson and Superintendent
will be ex-officio members of all special subcommittees. 6. A
subcommittee will be dissolved by the Committee upon completion
of its assignment, or it may be dissolved by a vote of the Committee
at any time.
