Professional Development Activities offered in district will be tracked by the attendance sheet at the activity. It will not be necessary to complete a separate approval form. College courses must have prior approval in writing by the Principal and Superintendent for course reimbursement and/or district credit. Please click on this link for the Course Approval Form. Conferences or workshops must have prior approval in writing by the Principal. If you are seeking district credit and/or a stipend you must also have prior approval by the Superintendent. Please click on this link for the Conference/Workshop Form. If you have a Professional Development Activity Proposal this must be submitted to the Principal. Please remember that PDP's are awarded for all district sponsored professional development based on 1 PDP for 1 hour of professional development and are automatically entered into your electronic portfolio following satisfactory completion of activity. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) PDP's awarded at outside workshops or conferences are the responsibility of the teachers to enter into their own IPDP Portfolios. Note: In accordance with the agreement between the GMEA and the GMRSD School Committee equivalent credit may be given for approved workshop hours as approved by the Superintendent or a designee on the basis of fifteen hours being the equivalent of one credit. College courses/workshops must have prior approval in keeping with district and individual professional development plans. Professional Development attended during the school day cannot be stipended nor awarded district credit, but will receive PDP's. |
