Friday News

May 10, 2019

Dear Hillcrest Families,

As we approach the end of the school year, our Hillcrest students and staff like to honor the many wonderful volunteers who support our school community.  Next Friday, May 17th, at our All School Meeting, we will recognize this year’s Hillcrest volunteers. From high school students and Hillcrest parents to former Hillcrest teachers and generous community groups, we are so lucky to have a very generous group of volunteers.  As always, we welcome everyone to our All School Meetings and for this particular meeting, we will also send invitations to our volunteers. We hope to see a big crowd next Friday!

  • On Thursday, May 16th, we’ll enjoy a visit from storyteller John Porcino. This special event was organized by Hillcrest Library Teacher, Jessika Nadeau, and funded by the Gill-Montague Education Fund.  Please see the flyer in your child’s folder for more details. You can also learn more about John Porcino here: http://www.johnporcino.com/

  • In addition to recognizing our volunteers at All School Meeting on Friday, May 17th, we will also enjoy presentations from Ms. Chanda’s preschoolers, Ms. Hirst’s kindergarten students and Ms. Casey’s first graders.

  • Be sure to mark you calendars with these special events:

    • Preschool Field Trip -- May 24th

    • First Grade Visit to Sheffield -- May 28th

    • Hillcrest Field Day -- June 4th
