Texture refers to the surface quality, both simulated and actual, of artwork. Textures are all around us in our enviornment and in nature--a gravel path, tree bark,a cat's fur, a burlap sack, or a stucco wall. Line can be used to create values and textures. Hatching is the placing of many linesnext to each other. Cross-Hatching occurs when many parallel lines cross each other. |
